Pauite 01 (Fremont Indian Museum)
We ride this trail at least 5x/year and enjoy it as though it were the first time EVERY TIME.
On this last trip, we rode from Marysvale to the Fremont Indian Museum and back, for a total of around 70 miles in that day.
In the picture are my wife and two sons.

Ah yes, the promised land. We're supposed to be out there for a week of riding/camping beginning Oct 6th, but the weather has me worried. It's snowing here right now (again) so you should be getting it tomorrow evening.
Is it just me, or is trail 76 not a really pretty and fun alternative to riding back up out of the Fremont Indian State Park area? Not that the Joe Lott section of 01 is bad or anything...

We already have snow on the mountain peaks, and from what I understand, the higher portions of the Paiute have a dusting of snow already too. We have a great storm already underway and it's supposed to get worse late tonight.GrizzlyGuy wrote:Ah yes, the promised land. As far as the 76 trail, I really enjoy that section of the Paiute.. Its narrow, tree lined and more than an average flat trail.
I may see you that first week of October, as I too hope to be down there as well. Perhaps if you PM me your camping location, we can hook up for 'rita's. We usually bring our 31' RV with one hell of a blender and plenty of ice and mixing material!

Uh-oh, did you just use the "B" word (blender)? See here:BruteForce wrote:We usually bring our 31' RV with one hell of a blender and plenty of ice and mixing material!

That's OK, I'll still bring plenty of extra Tequila in case we run into you.
We're actually heading for the Arapeen on this trip. Everyone says that's the hidden jewel of Utah ATV-ing. We're bringing a case of 100 video tapes and 4 video cameras, so that jewel may not stay hidden too much longer.
Plan A was to camp up on top of Twelvemile Canyon by Skyline. But now that it's probably snow covered at 10,000' and we've just got tents, we'll likely shoot for something lower along that road. This little meadow at 7000' is looking mighty good in Google Earth:

RobG is down in Moab right now and will hopefully meet up with us before he heads home. McGeed might be able to break away from work for some riding as well.
