KingQuad tire size
Hey Larry, or others, what is the largest size tire I can put on my KingQuad. Also, what size wheel should I do and what backspacing. I am probably going to do the same setup Ken has as far as wheels and tires. Any suggestion on where to get them?

Keith with the Bighorns, 26" is the largest you can use without significant rubbing or using a lift kit. I have a slight rub when my rear suspension is compressed, but the rest of the time it's fine. The factory offset is 5/2, most after-market is 4/3 so you get a little more space inboard, but widen the track a little. This is what caused my slight rub on the fender extension. There are a lot of places to get tires and wheels, but I always recommend http://www.bc-offroad.com/ Call Bryan and tell him you ride with us, he'll take care of you.

Are you running 26x9 or 26x12?
Also, I am trying to recall what you told me....are you running the TORC slip on exhaust and the Dobeck power commander? And I promise, last question (For this post ) which shocks did you say were the cheaper ones you were just as happy with?
Cant buy all this stuff right now, but research is research

Once you have the tires you may want to add a clutch kit. From those that have done it, it's one of the best and most noticeable mod they did. I hear the EPI high altitude oversize tire kit is nice, Bryan can give more information about it.
Take a look at your factory air cleaner. They used to be loose on the housing, no matter how tight the fasteners were. There was some concern about dust getting by. I found that the UNI is a great replacement

I have 9" in front, 12" in the rear, most sets come set up that way. I wish they did a 10" width in the 26" tire, I think it would be a great size front and rear.Keith Strong wrote:Are you running 26x9 or 26x12?

I hear that Lawrence has a much deeper knowledge base regarding KQ add on's than he is fessin' up to. If you buy meat, cocktails and anatomy and physiology study materials I bet he will spill the beans. Just my humble opinon. Oops!, I mean "jmho".
