Talk about strange happenings

Postby Mr. Miyagi » Sat Oct 15, 2005 9:58 pm

Back in 2002 my house was broken into and a number of things stolen including a couple of pistols. Anyway... I got a call last week from a Sgt in the Stockton PD saying he recovered one of my pistols..... I thought cool.

I tried calling this guy back for about a week (with no response) when yesterday I received a call form a DA asking if I'd be interested in coming in Tuesday to answer a few questions. So, I'm thinking.... I have most of what I need here at work (original crime report, insurance documentation, etc...) to possibly recovery my pistol. So..........

I said how about I come in today (Actually Friday). She said great, be here at 1:00... I show up at 1:00 and another DA shows up and asks me to follow him.....

Basically, long story short.... I was escorted into a courtroom to testify (yep, full jury trial) against 2 alleged Asian gang bangers who used one of my pistols to commit a double homicide. Talk about SAD..... Fricken two young kids... couldn't have been 18 years old..... The weapon used was a Ruger Redhawk 44 mag with a 7.5 in barrel.

After I testified and as I was leaving..... another DA showed up, escorted me out of the courtroom and without me asking..... was told I'd probably not see my pistol for the next 30 to 40 years (not that I cared).... however I understood his point. It didn't sound to promising for the defendants.

How unfortunate.....

When I was younger (25+ years ago), my parents house was broken into. We caught the theif in the house. He had my dad's 45 and had just aimed it at the cop. He must have realized what he was doing and decided to lay the gun down and give up. It took my father over five years and the intervention of his cousin (who was chief of police in a different city) to finally get his pistol back.

Yep.... That's what the DA meant when he said "I'd probably not see my pistol for the next 30 to 40 years".

Actually, the pistol no longer belongs to me..... It was insured.

did you hear what the final verdict was on the case or is it still in progress?

While reading your story I thought for sure they were going to hancuff you and make you spend the night with Bubba. . . (even though you filed all the proper police reports. . . things might have gotten lost)

ok check this one out, last saturday night my wife and I go to bed about 11,,,,,,,,,,, just after 3 am I wake up to my dog making a little wineing noise, so I get up and so does my wife. the house is dark inside no lights on at all, so I get into the hallway headed towards the dogs bed, she sleeps in the living room. But I here a noise in the bathroom so I open up the door and BAM what do I see a guy 3/4 of the way in the bathroom window he is hanging down with his hands at the bottom of the tub. I yell GET THE fawk OUT OF HERE, and to my wife I yell get he gun, I keep a loaded gun, whats the point of having a gun If it's not loaded in less than 3 seconds I have the gun and the guy is out the window, his shirt got hung up on the window sill on his way out he is shirtless. I tell my wife call 911 and I am out the door no clothes only a 38 in hand. the guy is long gone the only thing left is his shirt and out side oof the window a pair of blue slippers. the sheriff shows up in less than 10 minutes, but this dirt bag is gone. oh the wine from the dog was the window being slid open.

TRUE STORY the end

Wow..... That is fricken weird. I would have shot the MF no doubt.

The saddest part about the whole story is visualizing Dave naked (riding his quad) chasing the guy...... Can't wait for our next ride.

YA HE WAS OUT THE WINDOW BEFORE I HAD THE GUN, NOT SURE IF I WOULD HAVE BLASTED HIM, I THINK IF HE WAS ALL THE WAY INSIDE IT'S TIME TO PULL THE TRIGGER, ON THE POSITIVE SIDE I HAVE SOME SLIPPERS NOW............ JUST KIDDING THE SHERIFF TOOK THEM.

Hanging in your bathtub...lol...maybe he needed a bath...Image

Blue slippers? lol....what was he an escapee???

I'd freak if anyone tried breaking in...last night there was some kind of racket going on outside around 4 in the morning...my dog was barking like crazy...I checked around I didn't see anything....and I would've thought the alarm would have went off if it was someone trying to get in... anyhow the next morning I was outside getting the mail and noticed the front screen was down??? This screen is pretty big and heavy to have just fallen.....
That's ok...I have a gun and a Louisville slugger that would come in handy...

Not to self, if I ever vist your guys late at night, call before I get there to make sure you do not mistake me for a villian. . . I know that my brother has two guns, and when he is away traveling for work, she keeps them loaded as well. My g-ma does it too, and we all know if we are going to visit her or go to the house after 9 at night, call first or we will be getting a stomach full of lead. . .
