transmission drain plug?

transmission drain plug?
so i was watching a video were one of the polaris guys crossed fordyce and then floated and then had to let water out of the transmission ???!! this is my first quad and i thought everything was sealed like a jeep?? anyway i like going in mud holes and such so will my quad have the belt slip too and if so how do i get the drain plug out does it unscrew or just pop off. yeah i know this is a newbie question but ya gotta learn sometime and id rather figure it out now rather then on the trail thanks for the help

No...that was water coming out of the belt housing.....not the tranny. It SHOULD be sealed.....but it's technically, not fatal to get wet...just slips.

I snorkeled mine, as mud does wreak havoc on the CVT once it gets in, causing you to need to clean and regrease the rollers. Not hard to do, just a PITA.
