After a tie-down strap popped loose (I carry the quad in the truck), I realized I ought to use something better than the stock bed tie-downs.
The stock tiedowns are kinda crummy - they are like cleats and I used them by hooking over one side and looping the strap below and over the other side. They're kinda bendy, so I thought a big bump on the road would probably pop both of them loose - not good. So, I found these d-ring anchors at Tractor Supply Company for a whole $3.49 apiece - rated at 1,667 pounds each. A few carriage bolts, fender washers, washers and nylocks later - two really beefy anchors. Nice quality - the d-rings are welded and fit flush with the anchor part perfectly.
Now to find some replacements for my worn-out tiedown straps....

I ended up with a pair of Ancra Big Bike Gradual Release Ratchet tiedowns. They are really beefy - and little effort is required to cinch the quad down nicely.
