Baja Mex

Postby Mr. Green » Sat Jan 16, 2010 12:17 am

just got back from a trip to baja, had a blast riding on a wide variety of surfaces from beach to Mt, and ever thing in between (well ok no snow).

I was alone 90% of the time so not any action pics, well not to many pics period.

How far down from the border were you??

My friend is mexican, who was born in SD...he won't go to TJ or any of the border towns anymore...the drug lords run everything...including the military. That would be my fear.

I've been to Mexico...probably 50-60 times....and it's gorgeous and a riding paradise...it's sad the drug folks run everything. They could make a ton off tourism.

nice pics I would love to ride in Mexico. I lived just across the border for many years just east of San Diego and still never ventured into mexico to ride.

i was staying in loreto most the time map below

I have been going down for 15 years now, and most years i go more then once. The violence and the drugs is an issue but once your away from TJ, its almost a non-issue. Once you get to baja sur (southern baja) i feel totally at ease. Sure i may have to bribe a highway cop from time to time but i was speeding after all...

and yes i im one lucky SOB. This was my first time talking a quad down, i go to fish most times.

some fish i napped this trip
