Part 1-Sproul State Forest-Whiskey Springs Trail System

Postby Wildhorse800 » Mon Sep 07, 2009 4:17 pm

Had a long Labor Day weekend up north here in Pennsylvania. It was fairly dusty, but not too bad for me since I led. Our "group" consisted of me, my wife and my brother. Other than having to pull the carb off the '06 Wolverine and cleaning it out(Yamaha once again delaying the riding), it was a great time. Finally got some rain today (Monday-Labor Day), but wanted it Friday! Sorry for the smaller pics. My brother had to e-mail those. Oh well, here we go:

Going to try and hit Sproul State Forest-Bloody Skillet Trail system next before the season ends for hunting. Post some pics from there...

If you are bored and want to look at where we can ride on State forests here, just click the link and you can see the trail systems and some maps of them.

Wow - pretty country there! Looks like a great weekend up in the mountains. Some of those areas look surprisingly like our own Sierra canyons. I bet you have a lot of color in fall though!

You guys obviously had a great time! The Pit looks like it would be a blast to play around in.

It gives you a "safe" thrill of hill climbs, but the right wall is still a challenge that I don't touch. You just never know when your quad will decide to quit running!
