Interesting. I wonder if he finally got hurt too many times from wrecking machines. Or maybe he ran out of money to constantly replace them.

He managed to total two Sportsman 500's just in the time we rode together. No idea how many more he went through after that.

Polaris Sportsman Bumpers F/R 2005+ also cargo box

I'm currently de-modding my 2005 SP800 to get it ready for sale, and since I know I'm gonna take it in the shorts, I might as well off the accessories separately. I have the Polaris front and rear bumpers. Technically the front one is the "brush guard" -- the one that makes it look like it's wearing...

I would be very interested in a couple sets of these, and I can have them shipped to Reno if needed...

I'm with you, GG. Gotta plan a weeklong trip out there sometime. At those elevations, it'll have to be between July and Oct probably.

Why? It's something that should never be forgotten... just like never forgetting that compromising with the greenies just slows them down, it doesn't stop them.

Nice area!! Much closer for me than, say, Jackson Meadows. I might have to go there next weekend to start breaking in my XP 850. Do you happen to have a tracklog you'd share of this ride? PM me if so... if not, I may have to pick your brain some more for routes and stuff. :)

Just found this thread... I have the PN-40 also. I got it back in December when they first came out... I sprung for the extra $$ and got the PN-40 SE with 8 gig of internal RAM, and added a 32 gig card to it, for 40 gig total. The power of this thing is unreal... a dual-core CPU in a GPS!! The displ...

Went back by the dealer today... no 2010 XP's in stock. I'm still going to get the 09. I guess I'll just have to use a spacer on the rear wheels to get the Bighorns to clear. Any idea how much of a spacer I might need? I'm hoping no more then a half inch, but preferably 1/4"... otherwise I'll need l...

What's the ride plan? I can probably get Friday off and be out there around 9 am to make camp. I'll have to do the tent thing, since my Lance camper deal fell through (which is how I ended up getting the new quads instead). I'm not about to try dragging my 40' fifth wheel back there. If you guys are...

That's cool if the belt drive is that much improved. What bothers me are the tires. I heard that the '09 swaybar was a problem... it's been fixed for '10 but other reports say the '10 bar won't fit on an '09. I need to see if OTD has any '10s in stock that I can look at. I suppose I'd get a '10 if t...

Sportsman XP Questions

I know there are some here who have the new XP... maybe you guys can answer this for me. 1. Where the heck is the air filter? The sales guy and I yesterday couldn't find it. He kept tracing the intake back to the belt drive housing, but there's something under the seat, forward, with some thumbscrew...

You guys actually ended up costing me MORE money. I didn't buy just one ATV, I ended up with TWO! It looks like I'm also getting a leftover 2008 Outlaw 525 S!! :) With luck I'll be picking up the 850 next Saturday and going riding immediately thereafter, probably up around Jackson Meadows. They're g...
